The results of your quick search are displayed on the Quick Search Results page which lists all articles, journals and reference items in International Index to Music Periodicals containing your search term(s). A summary of what you searched for is included at the top of the page, along with the number of results which have been retrieved from each category.
The results page is divided into a section for each category. Follow the category links at the top of the page to jump to a list of the first ten results for that category.
Each article result citation displays the following information (where available):

There is a Full Citation available for every article. This can be accessed by following the title link in the result citation.
If you have requested JSTOR linking to be enabled and full text is available from the JSTOR Music Collection a link will be shown in the results citation which will take you to the full text within the JSTOR site.

If you have requested Project MUSE linking to be activated and full text is available from Project MUSE a link will be shown in the results citation which will take you to the document on the Project Muse site.

If outbound OpenURL linking has been enabled for your institution, an additional link will appear below the article result citation in the results list. Click on this link to forward the article details to your institution's link resolver in order to locate full text or physical holdings for the article in other services.

You can access journal records from the Quick Search Results page in two ways:
You will be taken to the relevant journal record page.
To access a reference record, follow the headword link from a reference result citation. For Pronunciation Guides follow the name link to open the relevant audio file (see above).
The first ten results for each category is displayed on the Quick Search Results page. If there are more than ten results, a More link will be displayed at the end of the section e.g. More Articles, More Journals, More Reference. To view the full list of results for a particular category follow the More link. You will be taken to a new results page displaying the first 50 results for that category, with access to all results for that category. This page offers all the functions available from a results page after performing an individual category search. Note: the ten results from the Quick Search will be the first ten in the list.
You can save your search terms to My Archive for future reference.
Tip: the default name for a saved search is 'My Search', if you are saving multiple searches it is a good idea to give them names which are easily recognisable.
Your search will be listed in the Quick Search section of the Saved Searches page.

Note: quick searches are also stored in Search History for the duration of your session.
Each results citation includes a checkbox to enable you to add it to the Marked List.
To add all of the results citations on the page to the Marked List, check the Mark/Clear all results on this page checkbox at the top of the results list. A progress indicator will count down the number of results as they are added to the Marked List and the final total will be shown next to the Marked List link at the top of the page. The results will be displayed with a new background color to indicate that they have been added to the Marked List.
To remove all the results on the page from the Marked List, uncheck the Mark/Clear all results on this page checkbox.
To add an individual result citation to the Marked List, check the Add to Marked List checkbox below the citation. The background colour of the result will change to indicate that the citation is now in the Marked List.
To remove an individual result citation from your Marked List, uncheck the Add to Marked List checkbox below the citation.
Items added to the Marked List will be kept there for the duration of your session. The total number of items contained in the Marked List is shown next to the Marked List link at the top of the page.
Note: items added to the Marked List from the Quick Search Results will be listed in the appropriate section of the Marked List for their content type e.g. Articles, Journals or Reference.
