Help: Quick Search

You can use the Quick Search at the top of every page to perform a keyword search across all content within International Index to Music Periodicals.

Enter a word or phrase into the Quick Search box
Click the Go button
The Quick Search Results page will be displayed showing a list of articles, journals and reference records containing the word or phrase you entered.

Tip: If you enter multiple keywords e.g. jazz saxophone into the Quick Search they will be joined together by the boolean operator AND e.g. jazz AND saxophone. This will return results containing the word "jazz" and the word "saxophone".

To search for an exact phrase enter the words in quotation marks e.g. "birth of the cool".

If you wish to search for a phrase containing a reserved term such as and, or, not e.g. hue and cry you should enter the words in quotation marks e.g. "hue and cry".

You can use other Boolean and proximity operators to combine search terms.

The Quick Search includes all full citations for articles, journal records and reference records. See the Quick search results help page for more information.
