Help: My Archive

What is My Archive?

The My Archive area of International Index to Music Periodicals has been specifically designed to help you with your research. You create your own personalized area where you can store selected items and searches for future reference. My Archive is username and password protected, so that only you can access the information stored here, unless you choose to share your log in details.

To access My Archive, click on the My Archive link that appears on every page in International Index to Music Periodicals.

How do I log in?

You will need to login the first time you access My Archive in any session. The login page is displayed the first time you follow the My Archive link or the first time you try to save an item or a search to My Archive in any session.

To ensure that no one else alters your profile or saved items while you are away from your computer, we recommend that you log out from My Archive when you have finished using it. You can log out of My Archive at any time by clicking the Log out of My Archive link at the top of all My Archive pages. This will end your My Archive session and return you to the Login page.

What do I do if I'm a new user?

If you haven't registered your details with International Index to Music Periodicals, you will need to set up a user profile:

Note: if you are subscribed to IIPA or Music & Performing Arts Online in addition to International Index to Music Periodicals, you only need to create a profile once. This profile covers any of the additional sites you are subscribed to so you can use the same username and password to log in to My Archive. However, the content of My Archive is unique to the site you are using i.e. when you are viewing My Archive from International Index to Music Periodicals you will only see the items which were saved to My Archive from International Index to Music Periodicals.

What do I do if I've forgotten my password?

When you register your user profile with us we automatically send you an email confirming your username and password. However, if you need a reminder of your password:
